Everybody seems to think Catra is some poor little meow meow or whatever. She like gets together with the protagonist at the end of the show, there’s this whole siblings to enemies to lovers arc or whatever. And certainly I have no issues with redemption arcs. Redemption arcs are fantastic, it’s great when shows redeem their antagonists. Sometimes it’s good for shows to just depict bad people, because bad people exist, but like, it’s fine. I just don’t get people who think Catra did nothing wrong. She was totally like going to Destroy Reality or whatever because she was Big Mad at Adora or something at the end of Season 3. I don’t actually remember the details it’s been years since I watched the show I just remember being very mad at her. Destroying the world is bad, you shouldn’t destroy the world.

It was well established all the way back in like The Intermission or whatever that shooting Snowman destroys the Universe or something. I do not understand why Spades Slick killed her anyways. I think because he was like, Big Mad or something? I tried to google for answers to this and Gemini said

I am pretty sure Gemini is just wrong about the part where Spades Slick didn’t know about the Snowman thing. Like, doesn’t he intentionally avoid attacking her in The Intermission or something? I think Spades Slick knew he was going to destroy the Universe.

He should not have done that! That is a terrible thing to do! Now, I do think the negative utilitarian argument is a lot easier to make about Alternia than about Earth. Alternia kind of sucks ass. I’m not saying I’m totally convinced it’s a good idea to destroy Alternia, but like, I could sort of emphasize with someone choosing to set off the Vast Glub or whatever, you know? But when Spades Slick kills Snowman, the Vast Glub has already happened. If your contention is that Alternia sucks, then destroying the universe is entirely redundant! You’re just killing a bunch of aliens or whatever! I’m pretty sure there are troll aliens in the troll universe, right? And Spades Slick just killed all of them! All because he was like, in kismesissitude with her? Like, get a grip, man!

This guy upset me when I watched this movie. It was like a year ago (2025) so I don’t remember the details that well but I’m pretty sure he was just like, being incredibly stupid? Like, there was that whole big expanding black thing, and I guess he probably had plans to like fly his building off into another city or something, but like, come on, just letting that expand throughout the whole Earth couldn’t possible have been good for him even on a selfish level, right? Like, there’s no way that the actions he took were remotely sensible for a selfish amoral person, I’m pretty sure he was just being a complete reckless idiot. You gotta not destroy the world, destroying the world isn’t good for you, come on.

I’m not sure if Kris And Friends are risking destroying the world with their ridiculous scheme. Probably they’re just planning to like, Sacrifice The Police Next Week or some other similarly deranged thing? But I’m watching this kid. I don’t trust them. Someone or another is going to do something reckless with the future of the world, I can just see it coming. Maybe it’ll be Susie, I don’t know. But people are totally going to be stupid in the future I can just see it coming.

We are in a much better world today because Stanislav Petrov was not an idiot like these people and did not take actions that risked destroying the world. September 26^th is the 43^rd anniversary of the day where Petrov did not destroy the world. Please be like Stanislav Petrov and not like all those other idiots. Thank you.
